Belvidere Wrestling and Cheer
The Belvidere Braves Youth Wrestling Organization provides a safe and educational wrestling and cheer program for local youth athletes. We concentrate on teaching technical wrestling and the many valuable life lessons learned in the process.
Our Wrestling and Cheer Teams for the 2023-2024 Season
This year Belvidere Braves wrestling will compete in 2 Youth Wrestling Leagues as well as other local tournaments and post season events. We will have 2 separate groups of wrestlers for the 2023-2024 season, the Novice and JV/Varsity teams. Any K-8th youth athlete from Belvidere, Hope, Harmony, and White Township are welcome and encouraged to join.
NOVICE - This team is for first and second year wrestlers generally tailored for those in K-3rd grade. There will be several optional competitions we will enter through the season.
JV /VARSITY - This team is for our K-8th grade wrestlers with some experience and willingness to learn and listen. There will be dual meets, quad meets, tournaments, and a post season for these teams.
GIRLS TEAM and TOURNAMENT TEAM - Belvidere Braves K-8 wrestlers will be entering several tournaments throughout the year for each level. Participation for these will be optional but encouraged . Our female wrestlers will practice and compete with our league teams throughout the season but will also have the opportunity to enter girls only tournaments.
CHEER PROGRAM - 2 cheer teams for students in grades K-8th from Belvidere, White Township, Hope, or Harmony.
Novice/The Littles-This team is for cheerleaders in grades K-4.
Varsity/The Bigs-This team is for cheerleaders in grades 5-8.

Begins Monday November 13th at 5pm. Will be every Monday and Wednesday 5:00pm to 5:50pm for the duration of the season. Please refer to the practice flyer for more information on practice.
JV/Varsity Wrestling Team
